| VISION: | The most challenging task facing the citizen soldier today is to meet the increasing requirements for military and civilian education. Military education is a vital ingredient in "Soldier Readiness" as we focus on the "One Army Concept". The role of the 1st BN (GS) 205th RGT (LDR) [1-205th] is to provide professional military and leadership courses of instruction. The 1-205th also acknowledges its role as a customer and supporter of innovations in training, such as: interactive training, and distance learning courses. The 1-205th will lead the way in implementing innovative and challenging soldier training requirements. This challenge will require us to: ·Establish an organization capable of providing individual military professional training, for officers and enlisted soldiers, from enlistment in the Washington Army National Guard until the soldier retires. ·Train the way we fight utilizing Battle Focus as the mechanism and guaranteeing quality by always training to meet or exceed Army standards. ·Initiate and expand MOS qualification and Phase II ANCOC and BNCOC to fit the needs of WA ARNG soldiers as well as members of other military components. ·Increase participation with other National Guard, United States Army Reserve, and Active Component organizations in order to provide and increase standardized and applicable training for members of those components. |
